SHAKESPEARE SWITCHED

Mission

Founded in 2016, Shakespeare Switched is a Community Interest Theatre Company based in Carlisle, England. Headed by Artistic Director Meg Robinson, the company was created as a way to bring classical work to modern audiences in an interdisciplinary manner. This is achieved by working with the companies’ resident actors and associate artists to switch the gender, sexuality and genre of The Bard’s work. There are two strands to Shakespeare Switched: Performance & Production and Creative Learning & Engagement.
